Antigua and Barbuda, June 30th, 2023 - The Ports Authority of the Turks and Caicos Islands proudly announces its win of the 2023 Nova Port Cup for most improved performance member port of the Port Management Association of the Caribbean (PMAC). The NovaPort Cup was awarded at the recently concluded 26th PMAC Annual General Meeting held June 28 -30, to the member port irrespective of size and level of technology, equipment and infrastructure. The recognition is given to the port with the highest score based on a composite of five key performance indicators:
• Total Cargo Volumes
• Total Revenue Generated per Revenue Ton
• Total Expenses per Revenue Ton
• Net profit per Revenue Ton
• Total Staff per Revenue Ton
The Grand Port Maritime De La Guadeloupe and Port Authority of Trinidad and Tobago placed second and third respectively in their inaugural entry in the competition. The Board of Directors of the Ports Authority of the Turks and Caicos Islands, Director of Ports, Mr. Delton Jones, management and staff thank the cup adjudicator and congratulates the Grand Port Maritime De La Guadeloupe and Port Authority of Trinidad and Tobago on being runners-up.
The TCI previously placed second in the NovaPort Cup in 2020 and first in 2021.
