[Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands] – April 2, 2025 – The Ports Authority of Turks and Caicos Islands has solidified its commitment to enhancing port infrastructure and supporting economic development with the awarding of contracts for two key projects: the Bellefield Landing Pavement Project and the South Dock Security Guardhouse Phase 2 Project.

Chairman Tueton Williams officially signed the contracts on March 31, 2025, with Island Drilling LTD securing the Bellefield Landing Pavement Project and Irvin’s Contracting awarded the South Dock Security Guardhouse Phase 2 Project.

The South Dock Security Guardhouse Phase 2 Project will see the construction of a new portside office to serve as the operational hub for the Ports Authority’s Marine and Safety Division. This crucial development, slated for completion within six months, is expected to significantly improve the division’s responsiveness and efficiency in managing the dynamic safety environment of South Dock, Provo.

Simultaneously, the Bellefield Landing Pavement Project will address critical infrastructure needs at the port facility. Island Drilling LTD will undertake the asphalt paving of rental car dispatch areas and the installation of basic drainage improvements. This project, with an expected completion timeframe of two months, will directly mitigate flooding issues, protect the environment and enhance safety for both residents and visitors utilizing rental car services at Bellefield Landing.

I am absolutely thrilled that these projects are about to begin!” declared Chairman Tueton Williams. “They will continue to transform our port infrastructure and address critical needs within our port system. The paving of Bellefield Landing will directly resolve long-standing concerns of the traveling public, while the new portside office for our Marine and Safety Division will enhance operational efficiency in the ever-evolving landscape of South Dock, Provo.

The Ports Authority is not just keeping up—we are setting the pace, driving progress, and fueling economic growth in the TCI. These bold investments reaffirm our commitment.

These projects represent significant investments in the infrastructure of the Turks and Caicos Islands, demonstrating the Ports Authority’s proactive approach to improving services and supporting the economic growth of the TCI.
