The Turks and Caicos Islands Government and the Ports Authority of the Turks and Caicos Islands are pleased to announce the signing of the contract (Tender Reference TR 21/37, Contract Number TCIPA 05/21) with Coastal and Marine Design Build Ltd. for the construction and installation of modern boat slips at Bellefield Landing, North Caicos.
The project commences immediately and will provide a new dock for the ferry services and slips to berth ten vessels, with lengths up to 50 feet. The new boat slips will consist of a floating dock with concrete decking, polythene floats, and an aluminum frame that will replace makeshift wooden boat slips currently in use at the port facility. The new boat slips will improve the safety of residents who travel to Providenciales through the port and as well as tourists who visit North Caicos and Middle Caicos from Providenciales.
